Three Hours Of Sleep

Three Hours of Sleep Three Hours of Sleep is an inspiring story about discipline, sacrifice, and quiet determination. It follows Allen, an ordinary young man who chooses education and hard work over comfort, even when it costs him rest, ease, and free time. Through exhaustion and struggle, he learns that true success is built in the unseen hours — when no one is watching. This story reminds us that sometimes the greatest growth begins where comfort ends. Allen once believed that life would become easier as he grew older. As a child, he thought adulthood meant freedom, success, and happiness. But as the years passed, he realized something very different. Life was not built on comfort. It was built on struggle. And sometimes, struggle was the very thing that shaped a person into who they were meant to become. Allen grew up in an ordinary household. His father was a hardworking man who believed that responsibility came before comfort. From him, Allen learned discipline, honesty, and t...

The Night in the Dark

The Night in the Dark

When a simple movie run turns into a chilling encounter with the unexpected… will Sam ever feel safe again?

Sam had only planned a quiet night in. The plan was simple—rent a couple of new movies from RedBox and enjoy them with some popcorn. But the night had other ideas.

It was late when he stepped out. The streets were unusually quiet, and the wind whispered through the trees like a warning. The dim streetlights flickered above, barely lighting his path. He walked with his hands in his pockets, shoulders hunched, trying to shake off the uneasiness creeping into his chest. The barking of distant dogs made the silence feel even more threatening.

Suddenly, Sam’s shoe slipped off. Muttering under his breath, he bent down to put it back on. That’s when it happened—his foot brushed against something cold and thick. He froze. The dim light didn’t help, so he pulled out his phone and turned on the flashlight.

There, slithering quietly through the grass beside him, was a snake.

His heart pounded in his chest. Not waiting to identify the kind or think twice, he stepped back and started walking quickly—almost running—towards his apartment. He didn’t look back until he was inside, door locked and safe. He exhaled shakily. “It’s just a snake,” he told himself. But the feeling of danger clung to him like a second skin.

That night, Sam couldn’t sleep. He tossed and turned, feverish and unsettled. Was it the fear? Or something else?

By morning, the fever had subsided, but the memory remained sharp. Trying to return to normal, he watched one of the movies he had rented. As the day went on, things began to feel more distant, like a strange dream.

He decided to go for a walk. The sun was out, and the neighborhood looked friendly again. But just as he passed under a large tree, something dropped onto his shoulder.

Before he could react, the snake had wrapped itself tightly around him. He stumbled, panicked, and tried to tear it off—but the coils squeezed tighter. His vision blurred. Then, as suddenly as it appeared, the snake unwrapped itself and slipped away into the bushes.

When Sam came to, surrounded by neighbors sprinkling water on his face, he could barely speak. “The snake…” he whispered.

They exchanged glances. No one else had seen it. Some nodded politely. Others looked skeptical.

No one believed him.

That night, Sam began packing. He had seen enough. Whatever that thing was, whether it was just a snake—or something more—he didn’t want to find out.

Sometimes, safety isn’t just about where you live. It’s about what you leave behind.

Would you have stayed if you were in Sam’s place, or would you run far away? Share your thoughts in the comments below!

Don’t Open That Door

“A mother and daughter move into a beautiful new home… but something upstairs doesn’t want them there.” When Kristan and her daughter moved to the Bridgetown neighborhood, they loved the house. It had seven rooms and was huge. Kristan’s daughter Bianca went upstairs to check out each room. The last room had a foul smell, something like a dead animal. The window was open, and it was extremely cold in the room. There was a desk, a rocking chair, and a standing mirror.  Kristan was making dinner and baking pumpkin pie in the kitchen when she called, “ Bianca, come downstairs to eat!” Kristan liked the three downstairs rooms and insisted Bianca pick her room from these rooms. “But Mom, I like the upstairs room. Can we move there, please?”  Bianca asked. Kristan replied, “Bianca, honey… alright, let’s make a deal.”  During the day, we spend time upstairs, and to sleep, we go downstairs. Okay, Mom, it's a deal!” Bianca would start school on Monday, and Kristan was beginning h...
